i had listened to the degrading talk by gb heard (on women) & watched a video on evie bklyn channel & there was alot of interesting questions that are raised.. i had always wondered why can't women in the hall handle mics or run magazine counter etc.?

but they (if annointed) will rule in heaven with jesus.

that is a pretty heavy responsibility to help jesus rule millions of people on earth, but yet they can't pass a mic or even run the sound system in the kh.

The 20 years refers to the last statement regarding the prophecy of 2034, which I left out:

Don't give up. All of you were JW's at some point, but something trigger your awakening. This elder is smart, well educated and even a well known and respected elder in the entire Hispanic district (oops I forgot there's no districts anymore, or is there?), but certainly a tough "nut" to crack. I have fun reading his responses, but also they provide awakening value for my children.

I guess, the field service training is going to be simplified even more; you will be taught only how to deliver a tract promoting JW.ORG. No longer will there be a need to learn doctrine, prophecy or Bible interpretation. The "mentally diseased" may be right when they observe that the JW's publications and meetings had been dumbed down in recent decades. In fact, I think there's sound evidence supporting this claim. Take a look at how the 1914 doctrine/prophecy is explained in the WT to the public of October and November of 2014. Compare this article to the "mentally diseased" book "The Gentile Times Reconsidered". It's the difference between night and day in every respect.

Regarding decreased membership, it is to be expected. 1 Timothy 3 describes the World's people in the last days as "boastful, haughty ... not open to any agreement... headstrong, puffed up with pride". Therefore, it doesn't surprise us that our message is becoming more and more unpopular.
Second, regarding the information becoming less intellectual, this also follows the spirit of the Scriptures. At Matthew 11:25 , 26 Jesus said: "I publicly praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intellectual ones and have revealed them to young children. 26 Yes, O Father, because this is the way you approved." What you consider simplifying in order to control, I consider an honest effort to reach persons of all nations, many of whom need to have things broken down to more basic concepts.
Perhaps in 20 years we will be more in agreement. At the very least we can say that in another 50 years we will have no disagreements at all.

Corpus Linguistics - Text Analysis of All Watchtower Publications since 1800's

with this database i will be able to instantly find trends in text,sentiment of writing, methods used, and scriptures emphasized.. essentially i will be able to put a word like "apostate" into my tool, and instantly receive a report showing every time the word (or similar words) has been used in all publications since 1870.. i will also be able to create reports showing word density used in publications over time.. so i'll be able to see that the word "governing body" has increased in usage 25% year over year since 1975.. or i will be able to analyze the november 2014 wt and run an algorithm that helps to determine, what the tone and motive of the writing is.. the thing that i am most excited about is the ability to instantly find every occurence of a scripture in every publication.. this will be a great tool to find flip flops in doctrine as well as inaccuracies in biblical interpretation.. i will for sure publish all interesting findings here.. .

Between 1904 and 1917 (first and last year 1915 is mentioned respectively) 1915 appears 53 times and 1914 appears 174 times in the watchtower magazine. I did this research more than 2 years ago. I am pretty sure these totals include only relevant data to our study of prophecy of the end of the gentile times. It is precisely in the WT of Oct of 1917 when the writer says that Abraham did not take his inheritance in 1915, but he will take it in 1925. That must have been the end of Russell's end-of-world prophecy and the beginning of Rutherford's.

Check the number of times the words, as a group, obey/bedience/obedient/obediently/disobey/disobedience appear in the watchtower magazine (study edition) for the last few decades. I grouped the years in decades (80's, 90's, etc) and noticed that the trend since the 80's is upwards, especially in the last few years. One reason could be that they split the watchtower in two parts, the cultic and the public version. Therefore, those words were moved heavily to the cultic side. I feel that there's more to it though. My results just for 2012, 2013 and 2014 are 77,85 and 88 respectively (not including December 2014). Previous years were markedly lower.

Minute 26 of second hour: "only associate with JW's because everyone else [even well behaving, moral people] is in the hands of the wicked. Then in minute 27 warns against participating in extra curricular activities like dance and sports and meals for employees of the school. Be friendly with coworkers, preach to them, but do not become friends with them. Don't accept their invitation to have a meal, or a drink, or a weekend social gathering, even with well behaving people. They can never be your friend because they don't worship Jehovah (quotes james 4:4). Friendship with the worldly always ends up in immorality and enmity with God

[MY COMMENT: funny, all the fornication that I have known of happenned within the congregation, often wife ends up a motel bed with the husband of another sister, even an elderete with a husband's fellow elder. Fornicate, but don't lower yourself to screwing a MS or a plain publisher, keep the status]

The last 15 minutes were about preach, preach, preach. Serve Jehovah with joy and willingly.

Let's review: nothing has changed in my 22 years knowing JW's. It's still a cult.

Wait a minute, I just realized that Gary, to prove that the Governing Body loves children, said that two of the GB members themselves have raised kids. Actually, that proves that five of them never raised or have no idea how to raise kids. No wonder, they have no qualms about the pedophile abuses, or robbing young ones of their dreams and goals, robbing them of their lives. The GB members lack paternal feelings, and they have succesfully removed those feelings from many of the R and F. Let's review, it's a cult

Now that the numbers are dwindling, there is no question that a major target for the GB is children. Almost from the very beginning of the speech, in minute 6:15 of the second hour, G.L. thanks people for bringing their children, thanks children for being there, mentions that Jehovah and Jesus are happy for children being there. Then he cites the Bible regarding how Jesus asks to let children approach him because the Kingdom of heaven belongs to those that are like children (Mark 10:14), then he says "Jehovah loves children, the Governing Body loves children too"

Then, around minute 17 G.L. attacks higher education. Dangers of higer education are:

1. Time left before the end is "reduced". Higher education is not a good way to spend that time

2. Places of higher education promote independent thinking and make you look down on those without higher education

3. Pursuing higher education may show that you don't love Jehovah. You can not serve two masters at the same time

4. Shows that you don't trust Jehovah

5. Universities promote the thinking of this [wicked] system of things

Then he gives the example of a man with ocd that washes his hands 100 times a day and gets tired of it. Puts a gun to his mouth and fortunately "kills" only the part of his brain that affected his OCD. Problem fixed..."however", he asked, "would you take a similar risk by pursuing higher education, which endanger your spirituality???? etc, etc.

Parents, get your children indoors and lock your doors, the GB is looking for slaves to support their profligate lives (three gold rings!!!!)

for 2 years, soon after my daughter's baptism, i have been exchanging many emails with an elder of her congregation.

good man, but he is a jw and he just drove me to the brink of madness recently; that was the drop the spill the water.

For 2 years, soon after my daughter's baptism, I have been exchanging many emails with an elder of her congregation. Good man, but he is a JW and he just drove me to the brink of madness recently; that was the drop the spill the water. It's a cult. The guy is intelligent and fairly well educated, but he, my two brothers, another elder, and few JW friends have led me to believe that they are beyond repair and I am wasting an important part of my life, so I am putting this business of JW's behind. I am putting all my apostate books, ancient history books, bibles, and biblical scholarship studies away. Even my science and astronomy books have to go. They always remind me of how dishonest the WT is when they misquote great scientists and thinkers. I am also stopping my visits to ex JW's websites. I need to enjoy life again; free myself from the insidious influence of the WT.

Thank you all for your help. I got to pull my son out on time thanks to you. My son is a wonderful young man with more heart than brains and yet he scored an IQ of 145. Straight A student, never a B in his entire life. Ranked number one in his graduation from junior high (out of 350). Now that he is in his freshman year, he is part of the swim team (practices 2 1/2 hours a day), he volunteers in the library, animal shelter, and city sponsored events. He also participates in a Boys and Girls Club sponsored by Disney and other deep pockets here in California. He and two friends last Friday just won, in a young inventors competition, the opportunity to go to Paris, France with all expenses paid to present their invention. I won't give details lest someone steals the idea that may potentially become valuable intelectual property. He is one hell of a kid who happens to be reading Crisis of Conscience. He must be out of the cult by now. But I won't take my chances. I will feed him more Ray Franz and Carl Olof Jonsson by the time he is giving his valedictorian speech, three years from now. My middle finger goes to the Governing Body with great pleasure because, thanks to you all, I stole a District.. (oops, I forgot the WT changes too fast) a Circuit Overseer.

I am glad I have planted the seed of apostasy with my family and others. I hope some of the translations that I made of apostate articles to Spanish have helped, or will help, someone. I am very hopeful that the bright future awaiting my son should serve as a good example of what happens when you give the middle finger to the WT. I hope many parents and their children get to see the difference. Sadly, in my 22 years of association with JW's I have witnessed how dozens of young kids lives are ruined by this cult. They are not accepted by the WT and have a hard time adjusting to the real world. Sad, very sad!

Regarding my baptized daughter, things are harder, but I am glad she is attending university come next fall. I am confident that she will see the BS before she graduates in four years.

My sincere apologies to anyone whom I have offended. I am leaving as a better person than when I just visited the first time, a man who is no longer indifferent to the plight of disfellowshipped men and women, and also very willing to help homosexuals reach equality in every possible way. Thank you for the transformation. Thank you for waking me up to the reality behind the love bombing at kingdom halls.
